In a world where you can find out the pointy shoe size of the recorder player of a band that’s been in existence for eight minutes, by carrying out the simplest of internet based searches, a certain level of anonymity is a rare thing.
Go to Google or something, and search for The Mettaphysicist. I don’t think you’ll find an awful lot, and what you do find will run out pretty sharpish, leaving you none the wiser.

Undeniably real. Undeniably epic. Undeniably hypnotic. Undeniably powerful. Undeniably beautiful.
The Mettaphysicist is undeniably all these things. But we don’t know who, we don’t know why, and that level of mystery and not knowing in this time of to-the-moment ego-inflating self-import-promoting access makes it all the more enthralling.
What little I know has been found out by talking to people, and an almost non-existent link to the Slightly Off Kilter Label and their traditionally affirming ‘zine Honest Music For Dishonest Times. Issue 5 is out now, and you can get hold of it by getting in touch with their myspace. You might want to ask them some questions as well. Like you used to.
